Howard Bennett
WASCO - Funeral services for Howard Thornton Bennett, 84, who died in a Bakersfield
hospital will be in Inglewood Cemetery Chapel Monday at noon. Burial will be
in the Inglewood Cemetery.
He was born in Adair, Ill.,
and was a conductor for the Pacific Electric Co., in Los Angeles County for
37 years. He moved to Wasco after retiring in 1944. It [sic] 1960 he
moved to Bakersfield and he spent the last few months in Inyokern.
Survivors
include a stepson, Norman McLeod of Hollywood; a brother, Dr. Walter L. Bennett
of Hollywood, and a sister, Mrs. Chella McCombs of Wasco.
